Job Description/Requirements

  • Coordinate with Regional expansion team to establish country office expeditiously
  • Master the unique operating model and ensure the principles of the model permeate throughout the organization, with full alignment of all team members
  • Lead and motivate team members to advance employee’s sense of ownership and commitment and enable them to achieve targets
  • Consistently challenge team members to operate the model at the very highest level
  • Maintain field presence to develop camaraderie with field teams and to get a first-hand perspective of the model’s performance on the ground
  • Identify expansion opportunities for the business across Nigeria and develop an execution plan for successful expansion
  • Set sales and NPL targets and cascade across the organization to align incentives
  • Always maintain a view of financial position to ensure the provision of adequate cash flow for day-to-day working and in compliance with statutory requirements and reporting
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key partners and stakeholders such a regulators and technology provider


  • Over 5 years of management work experience in the Telecommunications (Sales & Distribution) or Finance industry
  • At least a Bachelor’s Degree
  • Must be Nigerian and of Nigerian descent
  • Highly organized self-starter with grit, determination, and passion for hard work
  • A fast and willing learner who is adaptable to a unique SME lending model
  • Capacity and stamina for continuous days of long hours of both general management and fieldwork
  • Resilient and remains calm and deliberate under conditions of stress
  • Motivator with strong people management capabilities
  • Eye for mass and middle-market business opportunities
  • Strong analytical background
  • Well-networked across a diverse range of people and groups in Nigeria
  • Strong Communication and People Management, interpersonal and influencing skills to build strong business relationships, foster stakeholder engagement, create new partnerships and drive a culture of team-oriented collaboration.
