Job Description/Requirements

Qualification & Experience

  • At least, a national diploma or equivalent from a recognized institution

  • 2 years of experience in supporting NGOs in community mobilization for social development

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Project team and Programme Officer to conduct the related community need assessment

  • Maintaining regular communication with the community, particularly women, children, and persons with disabilities on community-based Disability Inclusive Disaster Risk Reduction

  • Motivating and organizing community members, including persons with disabilities, on Disability Inclusive Disaster Risk Reduction initiatives and practice

  • Working closely with the Programme Officer for arranging, conducting, and following-up training workshops and community meetings relevant to the project

  • Assist the DiDRR team and the Programme Officer for updated information on Community-based Disability Inclusive Disaster Risk Reduction progress from the community

  • Follow-up and support the groups trained to act accordingly

  • Provide support for preparing Community-based Disability Inclusive Disaster Management Plans

  • Establishing and maintaining linkages among groups in the community

  • Support the Programme Officer to generate qualitative and quantitative data to document milestones of project progress and submit to the Programme Manager on a monthly basis

  • Assist the Programme Officer to conduct regular monitoring and reporting

  • Keep the Programme Officer updated on the progress of the project and any issues that may arise during the course of the implementation that needs Programme Manager’s attention

  • Update the Programme Officer on any information related to security and follow security instructions of Elim CVTC strictly

  • Any other task assigned by the Programme Officer or project team

  • On regular basis, collect LGA data of program activities, review and check to ensure that all information is correct and adequate
