Job Description/Requirements

THE COMPANY

Fallon and Ash is a shading and security solutions specialist located in Lagos, Nigeria. We offer a premium service supplying manual and motorised blinds, curtains, shutters, garage doors and awnings to clients in and around Lagos. We work with manufacturers locally and internationally to give our clients an extensive range of high-quality products. 


  • The ideal candidates will have previous experience installing blinds, curtains, shutters or awnings.
  • You will receive training to understand our specific product types, how to install to our standards, and how to program automated products.
  • You should have good English communication skills (speaking, reading and writing) and good basic math skills.
  • You must be professional, organised, reliable and a quick learner.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE:

  • Taking accurate measurements on site

  • Help with moving and delivery of material, supplies and equipment to and from our office and project sites

  • Maintaining safety standards on site

  • Organising workflow on-site and following installation procedures

  • Installing blinds, curtains, shutters and/or awnings 

  • Conducting quality checks during installation

  • Programming automated products

  • Troubleshooting and resolving issues on site


REQUIRED SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of Senior Secondary School Certificate (SSCE) or OND or  HND

  • Good reading, writing and speaking skills

  • Ability to work, measure and calculate using the metric system – mm, cm and metres

  • Basic maths skills – addition/subtraction, multiplication/division, length, breadth, width, height, area, volume

  • Experience installing blinds, curtains, shutters or awnings

  • Experience using work tools such as drills, cutting equipment and machinery experience

  • Ability to read and understand building drawings and equipment drawings and specifications.

  • Ability to understand and follow instructions, process manuals, training manuals, health and safety standards, etc.

  • Personal organisation and self-discipline - i.e. punctuality, personal hygiene, site cleanup, organising tools etc

  • Good people skills - teamwork, customer service, politeness, courtesy and professionalism.
