Frequently Asked Questions

Get to know your Email Extractor.

How do I extract email addresses from text?
Paste your content into the source box, choose your output preferences, and click Extract emails. The addresses appear in a separate results box.
Does the tool remove duplicate email addresses?
Yes. Exact repeats are removed. Domain names are compared without regard to capitalization; the part before @ is compared exactly to avoid merging potentially different mailboxes.
Can I extract emails directly from a website URL or file?
This tool works with pasted text. It does not crawl a URL or upload a file. Open the webpage or document, copy the relevant text, and paste it into the source box.
Does extraction confirm that an email address works?
No. The tool identifies common email address patterns. It does not check whether a domain accepts mail or whether a mailbox exists. Review results before using them.
Which address formats are supported?
The extractor recognizes common unquoted ASCII addresses, including plus tags such as name+team@example.com. It does not support every email format, including internationalized addresses or addresses written as name [at] example [dot] com.
How do separators and grouping work?
A separator goes between each address. An optional group size adds a blank line after each group. Change your preferences after extraction to reformat the current results.
Why is the Copy results button not working?
Your browser may restrict clipboard access. Use Select all, then press Ctrl+C on Windows or Command+C on Mac. You can also download the results as a text file.
Does this extractor send my text to a server?
The extraction function processes the pasted text in your browser and does not submit it to a server. Other scripts included by the website are governed by the site's privacy practices.
