Primary responsibilities including but not limited to:
- Reporting directly to the audit managers and director
- Planning, execution & review of audit and other engagement files (compilation of financial statements, independent reviews and agreed upon procedures)
- Training of staff
- Audit and other engagement administration
- Client and director liaison
- Relationship development and self-development
- Preparing tax computations and completing tax returns timeously
- Monitoring audit budgets and meeting deadlines
- Staying up to date with the latest technical standards and ensuring all work is in line with latest standards
Desired experience and requirements:
- Above average technical ability (IFRS for SME’s, Companies Act, International Standards of Auditing)
- Strong project management skills
- Emotional intelligence
- Excellent communication skills
- Team player
- Self-motivated
- Ability to cope under pressure and achieve deadlines
- Experience in compilations, reviews and audits (including attorney trust, estate agent, body corporate, SME audits).
Minimum requirements:
- Completed SAICA articles
- Competed BCom degree or in progress
- Working knowledge of CaseWare, Excel and Word
- Own transport, a valid driver’s license and willingness to travel
- Fluent in Afrikaans and English
