Medical Officer

Main Job Purpose:
To provide clinical care to patients at allocated Johannesburg facilities, including hospitals. Identify patients in need of advanced clinical care and establish referral pathways and or onsite services for these patients. Support the process of decentralized care for patients with DR TB (Drug Resistant Tuberculosis).

**Qualifications and Experience**
- MBChB degree or equivalent
- Diploma in HIV Management an advantage
- At least 2 years post community service clinical experience managing HIV & TB infected clients in public health facilities
- HIV management experience essential
- Knowledge of latest HIV/TB/PMTCT guidelines.
- Knowledge of 909090 strategy and other Health related policies
- Experience in training and lecturing

**Technical Knowledge and Skill**
- Knowledge of latest HIV/TB/PMTCT guidelines.
- Knowledge of 909090 strategy and other Health related policies
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team including academic environment.
- Positive, energetic team leader with an ability to adapt to complex situations
