They now have an exciting opportunity for a strategy driven Merchandising Director to join the leadership team in their thriving sourcing hub in Dhaka, taking responsibility for international operations and global fashion retail customers in the UK, Europe, USA and Australia.

This role has a wide remit to include customer meetings, design, logistics, merchandising, technical and production.

For this role you must have experience with a global customer base, have achieved Director, Head of or Vice President level with the ability to drive strong leadership within a large team covering Ladies, Men’s and Childrenswear multi product apparel to cover, jersey and woven, outerwear and tailoring.

You will be leading a team who will be responsible for the complete product cycle from development to delivery

Main Responsibilities:

• Reporting and Presenting to the Managing Director
• Drive company initiatives related to strategy and operations.
• Lead and develop teams covering design, sourcing, logistics, merchandising, technical and production.
• Analytically minded with excellent numerical and data analysis of financial information to identify and shape strategic initiatives and identify opportunity and risk.
• Responsible for budget management and driving vendor strategy across all areas.
• Support and drive company initiatives-related to all departments.
• Develop strong leadership and respect at all levels.
• Lead efficient vendor relationships that are beneficial to the company.
• Working cross functionally with key stakeholders to define and deliver the strategy and set business KPI’s.
• Have excellent commercial taste when it comes to product.

Experience required:

• Strong leadership track record in the fashion and garment industry across buying, sourcing, production and customer relationships.
• Strategy driven with excellent financial understanding and ability to understand data.
• Previous experience working with international customers and experience working in Bangladesh
• Experience in leading and managing a large growing team.
• Strong understanding of the apparel manufacturing and production planning process.
