Nurse (Nutrition)

Responsibilities & Context

Responsible for:

Responsible for closely observing patients, noting specific procedures, and prescribed medication for each case.

Identify sudden or subtle changes in a patientâs medical condition.

Able to perform bedside diagnostic tests.

Able to maintain patient records.

Assisting doctors in providing physical assessments and administering treatments.

Monitoring vital signs and ensuring the proper functions of ventilators, catheters, and other life support equipment.

Attending to the patientâs overall needs, such as feeding, bathing, grooming, dressing replacement, medication intake, and comfort.

Able to work efficiently with other practical nurses and nursing assistants in the Stabilization center and be able to provide clear directions and guidance for procedures and routines.

S/he should also be able to provide support and education to the patientâs family, answering questions and giving vital instructions on how to care for the patient.

Activities:

Conduct physical exams.

Take detailed healthcare histories.

Listen to patients and analyze their physical and emotional needs.

Provide counseling and health care education to patients.

Coordinate care with other healthcare providers and specialists.

Stay current with advances in health care options, medications, and treatment plans.

Draw blood and perform other health-related testing.

Check a patientâs vital signs.
